Don't Recommend DIY Repairs
You might think that DIY repairs can save you time and money. Unfortunately, that is rarely the case. These appliances have many internal components that are constantly in contact with water. Electrical hazards are very real dangers, and, without the proper knowledge or tools, you could put your household in danger.
You might also risk further damaging the appliances, which will cost you in the future.
At RR Appliance Repair, we offer high-quality service at an affordable price. We repair and service compact washing machines, top-loader machines and washer/dryer combos.
Common Issues with Washers and Dryers
Washer won't spin
This can usually be attributed to an off-balance switch. You can try redistributing the clothes in the machine. If this doesn't help, then the timer circuitry or the outlet may be to blame. Our certified technicians can effectively deal with this problem.
Many internal components can be responsible for leaks: Clogs in the drainpipe, loose hoses, excess soap, dripping tubes, and dripping injection hoses.
Dryer Won't Turn On
Thermal fuses keep the machine from overheating. However, if they blow, then the power supply is compromised and needs replacing. The door or start switch may also be broken. When you close the door, you should hear an audible click. If you don't hear the noise, then the door switch needs repairing
Dryer Won't Spin
The drive belt can become worn and damaged over time. You can test this by manually spinning the empty dryer drum. If the belt is broken, then the drum won't offer any resistance and needs replacing. The drum roller axle may also need replacing if it has worn out.
When Do I Consider a Replacement?
Washers and dryers usually last, on average, between a decade and thirteen years. If your units are older than that, then it's time to get them replaced. We can help you choose the appropriate model for your household, as well as help you install the new units.
